The VLSI Physical Design course explains how a high-level hardware design turns into a layout ready for chip fabrication. Covering the entire backend flow — from floorplanning, placement to routing and timing closure. Students learn about power planning, clock tree synthesis, DRC/LVS verification, and sign-off methodologies. This course is designed for students with a basic understanding of digital electronics, Verilog and CMOS concepts for them to handle critical roles in semiconductor design teams.
