Verification of AMBA Bridge - AHB2APB

This course provides a comprehensive understanding of the functional verification of the AHB to APB bridge, a critical component used in SoCs to interface high-speed AHB buses with low-power APB peripherals. The course focuses on both protocol understanding and UVM-based testbench development, making it ideal for engineers aiming to master real-time SoC verification workflows. The course begins with an in-depth study of AMBA AHB and APB protocols, covering signal definitions, timing diagrams, and data transfer operations. It then delves into the AHB2APB bridge design architecture, exploring how AHB transactions are translated into APB accesses and how control logic manages the protocol differences. Participants will then learn to build a modular and reusable UVM testbench for verifying the AHB2APB bridge. Emphasis is placed on developing UVM agents, sequences, monitors, and scoreboards, along with applying assertion-based verification and functional coverage to ensure protocol and design correctness.
